TFC Origin Story — Explainer video

I was commissioned to create 15 bespoke CGI/3D shots designed to illustrate TFC’s story and operations in a sophisticated, animated world. These graphical storytelling sequences are integrated into short-form explainers and promotional videos, highlighting TFC’s role in simplifying the complex IP multiverse.

The project supports both internal and external stakeholders, from sales teams to broadcast executives, engineers, and production specialists. The ultimate goal was to build a versatile library of animated content that can be reused across trade shows, social media, sizzle reels, and broader TFC branding.

.Process

This project was all about building a strong visual story that connects technology with design. From the start, I wanted to create a clear and distinctive look that fits perfectly with NEP’s branding. I used a color palette that moves smoothly from the old SDI world into the new IP environment, tying everything together visually.

The client paid close attention to detail, especially when it came to the accuracy of the 3D models. That turned out to be the most challenging part — I spent a lot of time finding, refining, or completely rebuilding models based on their technical references. One of the more enjoyable parts was designing the UI interfaces for the grid matrix and other devices, keeping the same color palette across all scenes. The result is a consistent, precise, and visually engaging world that brings the technology to life.
